WHO ARE WE ?

We believe there is a present and a future for young people. Why ? Because Christ says so in His Gospel!

We want to help young people grow physically, intellectually, spiritually while respecting their needs. We aim to build on their faith, and to increase their future prospects so that they can face their future and also their future responsibilities. We want to communicate the Gospel to young people in a manner which is applicable and relevant to them.

• YFC works not only for young people but also with young people.
• YFC is inter-denominational and works in partnership with the Church.
• Legally speaking, Youth for Christ is an association under the 1901 “not for profit” Law.
• We exist because of donor and volunteer participation in our different activities.
• YFC is a member of the “Fédération Protestante de France”, of the “Alliance Evangélique Française” and of Youth For Christ International. It is an association of popular education.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Local areas

We are working in 8 different places:

• Briey in Lorraine
• Strasbourg, Colmar and Mulhouse in Alsace
• Nancy
• Lyon
• Lignon-Vivarais
• Haute Savoie
• Les chênes de Mamré

Each area has its own local programme and organizes different activities (sports events, young meetings, conferences, etc). To contact one of these areas, visit the respective page.

Move

Please find below a list of all the events we organise:

• Holiday camps : every year various programmes are run for children and young people from 11 to 30 years old in different areas. Holiday camps are part of these programmes. Each camp aims to educate young people in the Good News of the Gospel.
• “Génération Daniel” : this is a training programme held over 4 weekends for youth leaders. The programme is divided up into 3 key areas:
  • being
  • understanding
  • doing.
  A team of trainers are available all year long to help and encourage trainers.
• Beach Ministry : training and evangelism on the beach for one week in the summer holidays. Testimonies, questionnaires, sports tournaments, shows, mimes, sketches, songs. You will also have time to relax and sunbathe during the week.
• Prayer Ministry: the challenge to take one day per month to fast and pray for young people in France.

Culture

In this area, the following are available:

• Madison : This is a group of friends who love music, particularly gospel music, negro spirituals and vocal jazz. They play the piano and other instruments. They enjoy singing and playing music. Their enthusiasm for this work is because they love God and because they want to communicate the Gospel!
• Just 4 U (a magazine just for young people)
• Crossing (an impressive film which tells us what Jesus did for us)
• Camescape (a DVD)

In this programme, you can communicate in different ways:

• the virtu@l café - a meeting place to talk, discuss but also to listen to others
• the forum - where you can talk with young people of other religions
